About Us

Samaritan Women at the Well (SWATW) is a faith-based community organization dedicated to serving men, women, and children in crisis. Our mission is to “help people in crisis by meeting their immediate need for a safe, long-term, stable home environment, provide  food, clothing, shelter, counseling services, employment assistance, education, and life skills training while motivating and empowering them to become productive and contributing citizens.”

Founded in 2003, SWATW has provided services to clients in the Galveston County and surrounding areas. Clients include those re-entering society from prison, domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse, or those who have just lost all hope for a future for themselves and their children. They are allowed to reside in the homes for up to one year, which gives them an excellent chance for recovery and a new beginning. SWATW also partners with other community service providers and programs to administer a comprehensive plan which enhances the clients’ physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being by identifying and addressing their individual needs.

Samaritan Women at the Well relies on the generosity of people like you and needs your support. Help us continue to provide aid and services to our clients by donating today!
